Maths

The maths department will set regular homework's linked to the particular units that are being studied in each term.

English

Reading comprehension in preparation for the English Language exam. This will involve a series of extracts and questions

History

In preparation for exam practice on Medicine through time pupils will be given a series of revision tasks to complete.  This will involve reviewing the entire module and identifying areas of strength and weakness, producing revision cards and planning practice questions.

Spanish

Translate the first text. Create an answer to the picture based task. The class teacher will issue this and explain what is exactly required, as well as informing the pupils of the deadline.

Art

Francis Bacon

Pupils will be expected to research and investigate the Artist Francis Bacon. Throughout the project pupils will be expected to develop their knowledge and skills related to scale and proportion. A homework task sheet will be provided with numerous activities to complete throughout the Autumn Term.

Technology

In Technology years 7, 8 and 9, students work on projects in ten week cycles. As they move to each new technology project their teacher will issue them with a booklet related to that unit.  It is expected that students complete each unit of homework alongside the unit of study. In Food technology, students have a choice of two homework tasks

Computing

In computing in year 9 students will select a topic of their choice and research an area of computing development and it's effects on society and our way of life. A homework club runs weekly to support students who do not have access to IT facilities at home.

Science

The Cell -  Produce a model of a eukaryotic or prokaryotic cell, featuring labelled organelles along with their functions. This can constructed using any type of material. The class teacher will issue this and explain what is exactly required, as well as informing the pupils of the deadline.

Geography

Development in India and Kenya Points Task Sheet.  The class teacher will issue this and explain what is exactly required, as well as informing the pupils of the deadline.

PE

The Body in action-Investigate the muscular system of the body and find out how muscular contractions help the body to move and perform sports skills! The class teacher will issue this and explain what is exactly required, as well as informing the pupils of the deadline.
